Speech Language Pathologist, Certified Orofacial Myologist

Melissa is the proud owner of Talk of the Town, LLC. She has worked in private practice since 2006 and is currently providing her specialized services in a variety of settings such as private schools, charter schools, and in the clinic. Melissa graduated Cum Laude from University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She achieved a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Northern Iowa. Melissa holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Melissa is licensed in the State of Nevada and is also one of the few Certified Orofacial Myologists in Nevada and is a member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology. Melissa’s specialties include working with children with a variety of communication impairments and disabilities, with specific interests and expertise in the following areas: articulation/phonology therapy, apraxia of speech, orofacial myofunctional therapy (ie, tongue thrust), eliminating thumb/digit sucking, expressive and receptive language therapy, and working with children on the autism spectrum.


Teri Romeo MS, CCC-slp

Speech Language Pathologist

Teri Romeo has been working as a speech-language pathologist since 1985 within school districts in Nevada. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Her specialty areas include Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS); phonemic speech sound disorders, and teaching spoken language/listening skills to individuals with hearing loss.

Jaime is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where she obtained her Bachelors of Arts and Masters of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders. She began practicing in 2003 as a school based Speech Language Pathologist in California.  She moved to Las Vegas in 2007, where she has worked for CCSD as a Speech Language Pathologist.  Jaime holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association (ASHA).  Jaime has experience with receptive/expressive language, fluency, speech articulation, phonology, assistive technology, functional communication, and pragmatic language for individuals age 3-18.  Her specialty areas include early intervention for children with autism and children with receptive/expressive language delays.

Speech Language Pathologist

Cydni attended Pacific University in Oregon where she earned a Bachelors of Art degree in Early Education and a Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She currently holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Cydni has worked at two elementary schools in the Central School District of Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to the state of Nevada. She has experience with speech articulation, phonology, receptive/expressive language, literacy, and augmentative and alternative communication.

Speech Language Pathologist

Michael graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1980 with a Master of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders.  Michael had a private practice for 20 years serving hospitals, nursing facilities, home health agencies, hospices, and vocational rehabilitation programs, with experienced in treating speech, language, swallowing, and voice disorders secondary to stroke, head trauma, and progressive neurological disorders. Michael Was appointed by the Governor of Iowa, and served eight years, on the Iowa Board of Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology Examiners. Michael moved out of the snowy Midwest with his wife in 2006 to the St. George, Utah area, and for three years served nursing facilities, as well as the Mesquite Hospital. In 2009, they moved to Henderson where Michael worked for the Clark County School District, serving students with speech and language disorders, until his retirement in June, 2017. 



Speech Language Pathologist

Kelli is a native of Las Vegas and graduate of University of Nevada, Reno, where she obtained both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Speech Pathology & Audiology. She is licensed in the State of Nevada and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Kelli began practicing in 2014 as a school-based speech-language pathologist. She has experience with the assessment and treatment of articulation, phonology, fluency, functional communication, receptive/expressive language, and social communication disorders and specializes in preschool and school-age populations.

Speech Language Pathologist

Makensie attended Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri where she earned a Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She is licensed in the state of Nevada and and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Makensie  splits her time as a speech-language pathologist between private practice and school-based therapy. She is a Las Vegas native and is passionate about helping individuals with communication disorders in the community. Makensie's clinical experience includes working with individuals with developmental delays, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), fluency disorders, expressive/receptive language delays, voice disorders, and articulation/phonology disorders. 



Mary is the Office Assistant. She has worked in the education field, speaks French, and is a food enthusiast. Mary enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
